Okay, another update. My landlord is being stubborn and refuses to just eat the cost of normal wear and tear on a 3 year old carpet that never needed to be replaced in the first place. He's not backing down, and neither am I. I called him this morning to tell him as much, and he said, "Then I'll see you in court." He has no case! I have all the pics to prove that the only way that carpet could have been in better shape is if no one ever lived in that apartment at all!

I'm seriously sick and tired of people doing shit to me and I have to pay for it when it was never my fault to begin with. Two years ago my stereo got stolen out of my car, the cops never found the thief and I had to pay for everything. Last year another car slammed into me while I was driving to work and destroyed my fender and part of my headlight and DROVE OFF without even slowing down! Cops never found the car and I had to pay for everything! Now, my landlord ripped out a perfectly good carpet and said it was destroyed just because he didn't feel like paying for it. I'm fucking fighting this because this shit is RIDICULOUS! I did NOTHING wrong here and yet he still wants me to pay over $1,000?! What's wrong with this picture?! If I would have known I was going to get charged for walking in an apartment I rented, I would have learned how to fly a long time ago!
