Love By Any Name

Quinn was a boy who knew he was gay
Running from school bullies every day
Sixteen and handsome, he wanted much more
That happy ending and all of the lore
Unaware of his looks and all of his charm
Very soon he had eye candy on his arm
Wondrous young men and beautiful to behold
"X" marks the spot of this buried gold
Yearning for poetry, yearning for romance
Zombies inside, they did their song and dance
Another disappointment in yet another boy
Beaten he felt and lacking in joy
Countless times he's wondered why
"Dammit!  Can't I just meet a nice guy?
"Edgy and wise, romantic and fun
"Find this guy and my mission is done."
Growing brave, little Quinn set out
Hell bent to see what love's all about
Into the dark and out through the night
Just in time to see that bright light
Kevin was his name, seeing Quinn he cried,
"Lo and behold, here is where you hide!
"Many years I have searched for one such as you
"Nearly to think you were too good to be true!"
Over the years their love would stand the test
Proceeding until they took their eternal rest
